Rebecca Scott has just competed at Bedford International Stadium on Saturday and Sunday (18th and 19th July) in the South East Athletics Association (SEAA) Combined Events Championships and got a bronze medal in the U17 girls heptathlon and a new PB of 3819 points. She also got a shot PB throwing 8.10 metres.

Rebecca Scott and Zoe Pollock set their mark out over the weekend at Bedford in the all age SEAA Combined Championships.

 Rebecca competing in the under seventeen girl’s age group with a mixture of personal and seasonal bests thus totalling a personal best points score in the heptathlon of 3819. This was good enough to win her the bronze medal against eight others in the event.

Zoe in the under fifteen girl’s pentathlon produced personal bests in all five disciplines. Her day started with a long jump of 4m 72cm then she won her heat of the 75m hurdles in 11.99s. She next found 8m 17cm in the shot putt, the high jump followed with a clearance of 1m 39cm. The day finished winning her heat in the 800m in 2m 32.4s. After the five events she was placed 6thoverall of the 24 athletes and a point’s score of 2738.

This a excellent weekend for both girls.
