Banbury Harriers U17s & U20s travelled to Paula Radcliffe Stadium

Using the event as part of their final preparations for the forthcoming prestigious English Schools National Championships, Abbey Anson, Emily Thompson & Michael Dawes were in excellent form coming away to two wins each.
With the home straight being backed by the majestic High Performance

Emily then cruised home with two PBs when winning the 400m & the B 200m. In the field events, U20M Michael threw the 6kg hammer out to 50.84m to win & then clinched victory at the end of the day in the discus.
In the sprints, U17 Ollie Sprio continued his brilliant run of form setting a new PB in the 100m of 11.05s & then being second in the 200m in 22.55s. Matt Hall was 3rd in the 100m in 11.87s and ran strongly in the 200m B-string for 3rd & a PB of 24.02s.
Enjoying the good horizontal jumping facilities, Seb Hartwell won the triple jump in a new PB of 12.30m & Charlie Yates won the long jump with 5.68m. Matt Hall also set a new long jump PB of 5.09m & U17G Lily Hamp improved her best to 4.24m.
U17G Shannon Dawes won the javelin in a SB of 31.86m & Lily Hamp got a PB of 44.33s when fourth in the 300m. Jess Cherry's throw a PB of 10.5m for 2nd in the U20 shot & Tia Williams finished very strongly for 4th in the 1500m.
Joushua Walker ran well for 2nd in the B-string U17m 400m & Charlie Shepherd equalled his PB for 2nd in the U20M B-string shot.
The U17M team of Hartwell, Sprio, Yates & Hall then finished the day on a triumphant note running the relay in 46.1s to break the Banbury Harriers club record.
